Exegesis and Event

The same summer I attended Breaking Convention in the UK, I popped over to the October Gallery in London to give a talk on my PhD research to a very lively and engaged audience.

In the talk, I approach Philip K. Dick’s 2/3/74 experience as both a text (the Exegesis) and an event. More to the point, however, 2/3/74 represents an impossible interweaving of the two, with textuality pulling against the immediacy of revelation and mystical energies intensifying the text.
