The Psychedelic Renaissance

In recent years, psychologists and neuroscientists have returned to studying psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and MDMA after decades of official prohibition. We now know more about how they work, and how they can help people’s spiritual and psychological needs. At the same time, the cultural influence of the shamanic South American brew ayahuasca has been rising throughout the West. All this suggests that, in our increasingly pharmacological age, it is time to return to the question of psychedelics and the soul.
